I received my light about 12 months ago. I was shocked to see that they were still selling it. I experienced the same problem as others, the knob that tightens the lights arm is completely stripped after one try to tighten it. I actually had them send me another one and it did the same thing. Also I saw that others had mentioned how far down the cord the switch was. This is also a problem. I would not recommend this product.

The lamp looks very lovely. Unfortunately, it has a fatal flaw. The knob assembly that adjusts the angle of the lamp is not only made of a soft steel, but the screw is also of a very small diameter. The obvious result: When you attempt to tighten the lamp (even ever-so-lightly), the threads immediately strip-out. Result: The lamp is now a paper weight. This was such an obvious flaw, the designer must of been on some heavy medication to have missed it.

This lamp works well for our piano, and hasn't caused any fires. Is that a good review? It is functional and attractive for it's price.
The only reservations I have are:
1) The knobs are a bit cheaply made and hard to tighten and
2) The switch is bit far down the cord. If the switch was on the base or the head we wouldn't have to reach down behind the piano to turn it on and off.
Considering the price, not a bad lamp.

This beautiful lamp goes perfectly on my one hundred year old piano. It was shipped quickly, the price was awesome and I couldn't be happier with it. It fits in perfectly with my "old-world" theme in my music room. Definitely one of my best purchase!!
