Product Description Box making is perfect for beginning woodworkers interested in gaining skills, experimenting with design, and feeling satisfaction at a project that can be completed without the time and expense commitment of a bigger project. This book will offer basic designs, as well as many variations to teach different woodworking techniques while the reader creates a practical item or a gift that will become an heirloom. While this book will be enjoyed by beginners, it will also be great for any woodworker interested in small projects that can be done in a weekend with wood leftover from another project.

Great DVD - Excellent companion to the Book December 16, 2008 This DVD and the companion Book by Doug Stowe are great box making references. I highly recommend the pair to anyone that is wanting to build wooden boxes.
Very BASIC November 29, 2008 Very good printing. Very good photos. And very BASIC box making. There is nothing wrong with the book. It just tells you the very basic about box making using a table saw. I bought the other book Box-Making Basics together with this book. I found that Box-Making Basics was more informative than this book although the printing in Box-Making Basics was not so colourful as this book.
Bok review-Box Making July 21, 2008 Well written, easy to understand basics, and plenty of photos and diagrams. Well worth the price to expand your horizons in box making.
Please buy this book July 6, 2008 I bought this book and happy to give it 5 stars. This is a great tutorial in box making, which I do. The only higher recommendation that I can make is to buy the DVD which is awesome.
Highly recommend, the bible of box making February 22, 2008 I bought this and the accompanying DVD. I recommend both as to use together. I have been wood working for over 30 years and this book is great for a beginner or season wood worker.
It is easy to understand. There are some great ideas for jigs in the book that you can use for making boxes and also many other things.
What you learn is how to use the power tools you have in a very creative way. The author takes you from the basic to the more complex in an easy to follow and do manner. It should give you the confidence and knowledge on how to create something special.
I really like and enjoy this book. I think the DVD is great. I highly recommend
