Product Description This carriage-style outside wall lamp offers great looks, plus the convenience of a built-in motion and dusk-to-dawn sensor. A handy security feature around garages and patios, the motion sensor has a 180 degree, 30 foot range. The design also comes with the DualBrite two-level lighting feature, which brightens the light output from the light when motion is detected. It comes in an antique bronze finish with panels of beveled glass. Takes one 100 watt bulb (not included). 14 3/4" high and 6 3/4" wide, extends 8 1/2" from the wall.
Amazon.com Product Description Motion-activated lights are convenient and energy efficient, but they can be a little bulky and awkward to look at-in the driveway is fine, but you wouldn't want to put one on your porch. Unless it's one of Heath Zenith's porch lights, that is. These products give you the best of both worlds, combining motion-activation and traditional lantern design. The SL-4144 is a four-sided New-England style lantern that includes a hidden motion-sensing device. This device will detect movement in a 150-degree radius up to a distance of 30 feet. You can set the light timer to one, five, or ten minutes, and the sensor itself may be adjusted to give you more or less sensitivity (so it doesn't light up every time a car drives by). The weather-resistant antique bronze finish means it's going to look good for a while, too. This model also features "Dual Brite" lighting, which means you can use it for low-level accent lighting in addition to the full-light effect you get with motion-activation. An included timer allows you to set low-light mode for three hours, six hours, or dusk to dawn (an automatic photocell deactivates the unit in daylight). If you're looking to save a little money on outdoor lighting by installing a motion-detector, this is a great option that won't look out of place. Requires one medium-base bulb of up to 100 watts (not included).--Josh Dettweiler What's in the Box Lamp housing, motion detector

nice, but color is not as it appears online August 30, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a great lantern, but i had fully expected it to be almost black as it appears in the picture. it is a reddish brown. I spray painted it nd hung it up, and it looks very nice now. it is solid, and casts a lot of light.

Very nice looking light. Looks great on clay colored vinyl siding. Photocell will not let the light come on in the day when motion is detected. I just hope the antique bronze color holds up. I say this because it is actually brass construction, and brass has a tendency to look bad after about a year in the elements. But for now I have had alot of compliments on this $50 light.
