 Very Bright !!! December 27, 2008
This 3AA LED is about 8 times brighter than my 2AA standard mag-lite. And at least twice as bright as my 22-year old 5 C-cell maglite.
The quality appears better than my older mag-lites. Excellent fit and finish, and no defects so far. I'm impressed for the price.
Great Flashlight December 22, 2008
Delivery was swift. Props to Amazon for that. I pretty much knew that you can't go wrong with a Maglite. I was glad to see that their LED flashlights are just as reliable as that standard flashlights, with, in my opinion, a cleaner, brighter light. And hopefully, due to the use of LED's, it's more efficient, although I haven't used it long enough to burn through it's first set of batteries yet. So far, so good. A+
A Great Litte Light November 29, 2008
This is a great little light. It's noticeably brighter than the Maglite 2 AA LED and only a tad less convenient to carry. It will out shine an old Underwater Kinetics 4-C Krypton dive light I've depended on for over 20 years, and battery cost and life is far superior. Clearly this is not a dive light and it clearly is not the equal of the Maglite D cell LED lights either. As with kitchen knives I try to use the right tool for the right job. The Maglite 3 AA LED is a excellent general purpose flashlight that will not cost an arm and a leg to keep in new batteries. You'll be more than satisfied if you buy one.

This is not the first Maglite I've owned. But, it is the first LED and the best. Not only is the construction very good and Made in the USA, the light is exceptional. Very clear and bright. It has less of a "black center" when on the wide beam. Certainly more expensive than most flashlights, but well worth the money.

My favorite Maglite.
It has a brighter beam than the 2AA cell Maglite LED model, and also has a longer battery life.
Believe it or not, it is brighter than the 2D or 3D Maglite LED flashlights.
Everyone who has seen me using this 3AA Maglite LED has wanted one for their own use or has later given one as a gift.
And that speaks for itself.
