Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
This 6 blacklight can be used for many tasks: Checking hand stamps, finding pet stains, checking for bacteria, applying blacklight sensitive cosmetics, identifying antique glass and hunting scorpions (eek!) at night in the desert are only a few of the uses weve heard about.

1 out of 5 stars can't close with batteries installed   December 24, 2008
We took a chance even though other reviewers said the batteries didn't fit. I assumed they'd be too loose, a common flashlight problem and easy to fix. But the battery cover can't fit with the batteries installed. We tried to squeeze the springs, file down the extra-tall flashing/posts holding the contact, then broke off the tabs (the first snapped accidentally, the second we broke off) and still it couldn't shut all the way. Finally held it down nearly flat and duct taped it like mad hoping it'll hold. The light itself is nice, but it's really worth spending $20 for a decently made one. This is just frustratingly badly made.

1 out of 5 stars Zero Stars   December 12, 2008
Fortunately the place I bought this from refunded my money. The battery door just will NOT close. One of the little tabs snapped off the first one, so they sent me another door, and I was being ever so careful and not forcing it...and the same tab broke off the new door as well. I just sent the whole thing back to them, and they credited my paypal. It was extremely cheaply made. Spend a little more and get a better product.

I would have rated it a zero, except Amazon won't let you.....

2 out of 5 stars Great for Parties, Not for hunting Scorpions...   October 12, 2008

We bought this light to help catch scorpions. It doesn't work at all for catching them. We even used it on one we had just killed and still nothing. So if you are in the mood for seeing your teeth look freaky I highly recommend this light, just don't use it for catching those pesky scorpions...

1 out of 5 stars Poor design and DOA   September 6, 2008

The first problem is the door to the battery compartment is very poorly designed. It takes a LOT of finagling to get it closed properly. There is no space to fit the tabs of the door in once the batteries are installed and there are two large springs to contend with too.

One of the springs finally came off on one of my attempts, but it didn't matter because the light never worked at all in the first place.

I only needed the light to work once so I can find the spots where my puppy peed before she took to going outside. Didn't function at all and its too cheap to bother returning, so I threw $7 away.

Save your money and avoid this product.
