Editorial Reviews:

Amazon.com Review
This decorative LED faceted cone light set from GKI/Bethlehem Lighting is adorned with 25 lights. Though it's perfect for holiday decorating, the light set can also be used year round. GKI/Bethlehem Lighting excels in making quality holiday lights with long-lasting brilliance. Each lamp shines with rich color and remarkable intensity for more than 3000 hours, or for three years from the date of purchase, whichever comes first. The light set remains cool to the touch and is available with a wide variety of lighting colors. Safety certified, the light set is UL listed for indoor and outdoor use.

5 out of 5 stars as advertised   January 6, 2009
The lights performed perfectly. Unlike other reviewers I thought they were more than bright enough.

3 out of 5 stars Not Bad, But the Clips are Worthless   November 30, 2008
These lights work fairly well, but the clips are rigid plastic and are almost impossible to bend. I tried using a table knife to open up the gap somewhat, but the clip just broke off. If you plan to clip these to a tree or other object, I suggest you look elsewhere. I have owned other lights with plastic clips that worked just fine.

3 out of 5 stars not bad   July 23, 2008

These lamps, of course, use minimal electricity, which is always the best reason to buy LEDs. They produce the bluish-white light typically associated with LEDs. Unlike other types of Xmas lights, these lamps cannot be removed from their sockets, so buyer beware. I figured I'd buy a string because I'm trying to go all-LED for holiday decorations. If the lamps had been removable, I would have used them to make my children's nightlights more energy efficient. Oh, well. It was worth a try. There are worse things than being stuck with an eco-friendly string of Xmas lights.

4 out of 5 stars Nice blue color but could be brighter.   January 7, 2008

These LED lights have a very nice blue color when on, unlike some standard blue bulbs that also show some white areas. The reason for the four stars is because the bulbs need to be a little brighter. The bulbs are cool to the touch no matter how long they have been on. The faceted cone bulbs really made my ceder tree in the front yard look great, especial if there was a light breeze to make the branches move. The lights looked like they where sparkling on the tree. These lights have done so well that I ordered the red and green lights as well.

3 out of 5 stars Sturdy But Dim   November 23, 2007

I was pleased with how sturdy the bulbs were when they repeatedly banged against my ladder. The colors are good and the lights brilliant because of the faceted plastic bulb. However, if I find brighter LED lights I'll buy them. Mine look dim and they look like I bought "energy saving" lights. The other thing I was surprised about is that you can't buy replacement bulbs. These lights do not unscrew, so the string will die slowly one bulb at a time. If you're using the string to wrap around a tree you might be able to hide the burned-out bulbs, but if you're running the lights along your roof you'll end up with blank spots.
