 Just Another Average Light January 3, 2009
This flashlight has nothing special to it. It just got bigger, with more LEDs, and it eats more batteries than the smaller versions of it (9LED, 21 LED, etc.)
The light is not waterproof, so using this light during a storm is out of the question. The light is not shockproof. If you drop it, you're sure to burn out some of the LEDs.
The light beam is smooth and bright, and it'll be good enough for lighting things close up, but it will not travel far.
Its grip does smell bad, and leaving the light in the sun or hot environment will intensify the smell and leave you with a gooey mess. Thus keeping it in the car is out of the question.
Not much to say for this light, I recommend a different flashlight.

I bought both the Big Kahuna LED flashlight and this one. I bought both because I couldn't make up my mind based on the existing reviews for either. This one, the 100 LED Super Bright, is brighter and lighter than the Big Kahuna. I live out in the country and it gets very dark here at night. I used them side by side and the Kahuna was noticeably less bright. I suppose the Kahuna is pretty bright, too, if you don't have the comparison. The 100 LED Super Bright has my vote.

Got it as a Christmas Gift for my wife. Just the right size, solid. When I turned it on and pointed it at myself, It almost blinded me.

I have been purchasing a variety of LED lights. I really like the HardCase 3-LED small flashlights. This one costs about the same amount and is far, far brighter (33x?) since it has 100 LED's. The difference is extreme. This flashlight will throw a strong beam for acres. I can light up the barn 450' away with ease and beyond.
The flashlight is well built, well designed and of quality materials. I disassembled it and carefully examined the machining. I am impressed and pleased.
I would like it if it were made in USA rather than China. That is the only negative.
I plan to buy 10 more of these 100-LED flashlights. We have built a new house that is super energy efficient and I'll use these for part of the lighting. Wiring them up to work with our home's 12v electrical system will be a snap.

Not much to say. It's very bright and works well.
It doesn't have a gasket on the screw off end to replace
batteries so it may not be waterproof.
I am a huge fan of LED flashlights. So much brighter than
the old light bulbs.
