 Just what I wanted January 5, 2009
After reviewing several distributors of 50ft rope lighting, this was what I wanted at a good price. The wiring is parallel, so one failed lamp does not black out the downstream lamps. (In fact, it survived one poorly aimed hammer blow with only 1 failed lamp.) The light is incandescent warm, not bothersome bright, but enough for accent lighting and navigation. We mounted it up on a trellis, where it is plenty of light for the dining table below (but I'd surround all 4 sides of the table). I looked at LCD lighting, but finally decided that it was too expensive.

I did an "LED rope" search in Amazon and this came back at #1. It is not LED, it is incandescent, but I bought it not fully reading the description, which is my fault. It is a 50 ft. conventional light rope, commercial-grade. Very bright, very white light, but NOT LED. Seems to be a good product, but I will be sending it back due to the search engine confusion. Apparently Amazon's sponsored links at the bottom of the page mentioned LED and that causes the Amazon search to show this product. Amazon needs to modify its search to just reference THEIR listed products and not induce confusion this way.
