Simply Great! June 30, 2008
What a great timer switch. I had been toiling with a competing brand for years. Finally I was fed up with the malfunctions and purchased this unit. What a relief. So easy to use and dependable. Buy it!
So far, so good December 22, 2006
I owned two Intermatic brand switches, both died in months. Hopefully this one will not, I'll update this review if something goes wrong.
This switch works with compact flourescent bulbs, which should be mandatory. What in the world is the point of a using a timer switch to save electricity if you have to use incandescent bulbs? It's more than 50% cheaper to leave CF bulbs burning 24 hours a day than it is to have incandescents on for 12 hours a day...
Anyway, this product isn't quite worth 5 stars, maybe 4.5, because it doesn't know when dawn and dusk are like some other brands. But it does have a 10 minute delay feature to leave the light on when you leave the house.
It didn't work correctly when i first installed it because I followed the two switch installation instructions. However, I had early bipassed the second switch so that I couldn't accidentally hit and then think there was something wrong with the timer switch. When I followed the one-switch installation instructions it worked perfectly.

I have (3) of these in White and just love them! Unfortunately my switches are in Ivory in the whole house and I changed my plates (for these switches only) to White for it was only available in the one color.
Good move making these in Ivory!! I can now switch my wall plates out and go back to Ivory. I did contemplate buying another companies device in Ivory at the time, but they had very bad reviews, so I bought this in White.
No harm done for I have been extremely happy with this product and the company's Customer Service Department. They saved me from hiring an Electrician!
Now it's time to buy 3 more of these.......
