When beginning a search for a cute (animal) nightlight for my newborns room, I had no idea it was going to be such a challenge. I was not interested in a nighlight that was wall hanging, which seems to be most of what is out there. Thank goodness I found this turtle light. It provides just enough golden light to see, but doesn't overwhelm the room. This was a great find, and I couldn't be more pleased.

The bottom of the lamp is solid cast metal! The lamp is beautiful and the warm amber glow it gives is perfect. Everything about this lamp is solid and well made. I would definitely reccomend this for the turtle lover in your life!!

I don't ordinarily like cluttering knick-knacks, but the two "turtle lights" we got our children a few years ago at deep discount have been among their favorite items. (One had to be taken away because of unauthorized late-night reading...) That the shade is real glass and the frame solid metal is very appealing to the me, and the whimsy works unlike with so many novelties. They are well-made, especially for the price.
